On August 18th 2012 Hamilton Wheelers are bringing back the infamous fixed gear Tunnel Sprints in the Bristol – Bath cycle path tunnel. Full details of the event are below the flyer, lovingly designed by StudioAde.

The Tunnel Sprints were last held in the summer of 2010, but as it got such a great response from riders from both Bristol & Bath, we thought it was only right to bring the event back.

The racing will start at 9pm, there will be group rides leaving at 8pm from The Centre in BRISTOL & Boston Tea Party in BATH. If you plan to make your own way to the tunnel then here it is on a map incase you’re not familiar.

The races will be head-to-head in a knockout format until only 1 rider remains. This is a fixed gear event, but we’d love to see you & your friends there whatever bike you ride, it will be a great night. If you don’t have a fixed gear bike but would like to race, then ask around & there may be a bike you can borrow for your race. Don’t forget your lights as it will be dark for your ride home!

Girls, we want to see you there too! There will be a separate girls’ category, with loads of great prizes to win! If you don’t have a fixed gear bike, then ask around & get borrowing one.
