Bicycle Bangers #6

So, due to my absence there has been a lack of bangers posted on a friday, so to make up for this I am posting a few today, on a sunday. I keep meaning to do themed versions of these posts but it never happened so once again they have no relation to each other. Here are 3 random songs that you need to listen to if you ride a bike, simple as that!

We start this week with a band called The Beach Boys, you may have heard of them, but you may not have heard this song. It’s actually really good, so give it a go:

Next up is a good tune by Swedish band Shout Out Louds:

And last but definitely not least is a live video from Megan Rose which features a bit of everything & is really, really good, like a lot of her other stuff. Enjoy:

3 more songs for you this week. I was going to do some sort of Jubilee edition, seeing as everyone’s hyped on the time off work they’re getting. But I didn’t quite get 3 fitting songs. Here you go anyway.

Song number one this week is an awesome tune by pop punk band The Early November. I’m seeing them next week so this is the reason for posting this. Plus it features bikes in the video. Plus it’s an awesome song (did I mention that already?):

Next up, especially for the jubilee weekend, I couldn’t not post this song by Queen. Love it or hate it just listen to it, for Brian May’s hair’s sake:

And the third song in my selecta this week is a short but meaningful one by RAMBO, entitled ‘U-Lock Justice’ and I’m sure we’ve all felt exactly how he does at times:

First up this week is a pretty recent club banger that’s everywhere & has a video with some street mashing in. The question still remains, is it a boy or girl that stars in this video?! David Guetta featuring Sia:

This one is a modern classic, if you haven’t seen it them you dun know. Scraper Bike by Trunk Boiz:

3rd up this week is a pretty epic video. I don’t mind the band, and I really like the video, although at nearly 9 minutes long it is a bit, well, long!

Bicycle Bangers #3

Another week, another 3 songs for you to get on your iPhone/iPod/Minidisc/Walkman, whichever is your preferred method of mobile audio entertainment.

The first one this week is from the awesome ‘The Neptunes Present…’ album, such a feel good song:

Second up is one that I couldn’t miss out. It’s totally overplayed, but it was good the first time you heard it:

Number 1 this week in my poptastic top 3 is ‘Apology Song’ by the one & only Decemberists. Great band, great song:

Bicycle Bangers #2

Week 2 & more bike related songs for you to play through your speakers. Turn these up loud & dance around your house, or work place.

This one is Ed’s favourite song that happens to have the word bike in it’s title so I thought I’d better post it. Bicycle by Vybz Kartel:

Second up this week is one amazing song from the one & only ‘Rad’ BMX movie. The dance routine that accompanies this is in the film is like nothing else:

Your third tune for the week is simply entitled ‘Bicycle Song’, and was a bonus track on Red Hot Chili Peppers’ ‘By The Way’ album:

We’ve decided to start a new weekly feature on the blog, a Friday post featuring a couple of songs that have some relation to riding bikes. Whether it’s the lyrics to the song, the music video, or a song that features heavily in a riding video.

This week I have 3 big tunes for you, and I feel they could be hard to beat, but I have plenty more up my sleeve over the coming weeks. So turn up your speakers, and get the weekend started Hamilton Wheelers style!

First up we have ‘The BMX Song’ by The Bouncing Souls:

Next up is a more subdued affair from Kraftwerk’s ‘Tour De France’ album:

And finally, one of my favourite fixie-hipster-electro-rap-parody songs of all time, ‘All You Haters’ by QuestionBlock:
